-Bruno VALVERDE-
My paintings are born of a dialogue between matter and movement. I explore an inner space where gesture becomes language, where every trace, every scratch, every burst of color bears witness to a tension between control and letting go.
Influenced by abstract expressionism and lyrical abstraction, I follow in the footsteps of artists such as Pollock, Hartung and Zao Wou-Ki, without ever imitating them. My painting is a physical and meditative experience, a battle between light and shadow, between the density of black and the vibration of blues, grays...
My works, often structured by spirals, networks of lines or clashes of matter, reflect an expanding inner energy. They evoke mental landscapes as much as invisible force fields, as if the canvas were a passageway between the real and intimate worlds.
In my work, the material is not decorative: it's alive, it breathes, it resists, it bears witness. Each canvas bears the trace of a moment of truth, a pulse that transcends gesture to become pure emotion.
